Toy Machine skateboards was founded by Ed Templeton in 1993. Templeton was unable to decide between "Toy Skateboards" or "Machine Skateboards" so a friend and fellow pro Ethan Fowler suggested a combination of the two names. Ed draws/designs mostly all of Toy Machine’s board graphics and ads which stems from drawing his own graphics and ads while he was pro for New Deal skateboards. Some iconic Toy Machine videos include Heavy Metal (1996) and Welcome to Hell (1996). Also, Toy Machine’s team is full of heavy hitters such as Jeremy Leabres, Myles Willard, Leo Romero, Dashawn Jordan, Daniel Lutheran, Axel Cruysberghs, Blake Carpenter, and Branden Hoban.
